2022 Mitsubishi Lineup Update

Mitsubishi’s 2022 lineup offers drivers a wide variety of vehicle types and configurations, depending on everyone’s particular needs. From supremely spacious three-row SUVs to agile compact cars, there’s something there for you. Check out Mitsubishi’s spectacular 2022 models.

2022 Mitsubishi Outlander

The Outlander has been around for two decades, with each generation improving upon the previous one. The 2022 model has been completely redesigned to give passengers more room and cargo capacity while also adding new safety and infotainment features. Mitsubishi has done a fantastic job improving what was already a great vehicle, and the new Outlander feels like a significant upgrade. Besides having more interior room, passengers can also enjoy a quieter ride, and the well-tuned steering and suspension systems give the driver an enhanced feeling of safety and control.

The 2022 Outlander has five trim levels, all of them powered by a more than capable four-cylinder engine producing 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired with a smooth variable automatic transmission, and it can propel the Outlander to a speed of 60 miles per hour from a standstill in only 9.7 seconds, a perfect time for a vehicle this large and designed with other priorities in mind. Even the base version is equipped with a long list of infotainment and active safety functions, with higher trims simply adding to what already is a great vehicle.

2022 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV

The Outlander’s plug-in hybrid is also greatly enhanced for the 2022 generation, with better performance and range than the previous model. Considering Mitsubishi’s hybrid flagship model, the Outlander PHEV combines modern technology with excellent interior space and comfort. Its electric range has been increased to an impressive 54 miles, meaning that you can realistically drive to work and back without using a drop of gas if you work less than 25 miles from your home.

The Outlander PHEV’s electrical motor range has improved, and so has its power. The old 13.8 kWh battery has been replaced with a 20 kWh one, and it powers two electric motors: one has 85kW and 188 pound-feet of torque, and the other can deliver 100kW and 143 pound-feet of torque. Its fuel tank is also larger, and the one-pedal driving mode allows you to brake by simply taking your foot off the gas, which regenerates some of the power back into the battery.

2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross

Small SUVs have emerged as the perfect compromise between the agility of smaller vehicles and the supreme interior space and comfort of larger ones. The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross perfectly fits this description. The 2022 version adds many exciting new features, like an exterior redesign, better handling, and a new infotainment system. It’s powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that can produce up to 152 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, which should be more than enough for a small SUV on both city streets and highways.

However, the Eclipse Cross’ main selling point is its incredible interior comfort. It alls starts with the upgraded shock absorbers, which manage to cancel out most minor bumps in the road and provide a smooth ride. Its insulation system is also up to par, with most road, wind, and engine noises being kept outside the cabin. The seats are comfortable, and the wide-opening doors make it easy to get in and out. The 8-inch touch-screen and entertainment interface are helpful and responsive, adding to the comfort level.

2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport

The 2022 Outlander Sport is another small SUV from Mitsubishi. For over ten years, the Outlander Sport has gradually improved with each new model. Mitsubishi has managed to create an affordable and enjoyable vehicle to drive. Its base engine can produce up to 148 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque, but those who feel they need a little extra push can choose the GT version, with a more powerful 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with a power output of up to 168 horsepower and 167 pound-feet of torque, plus all-wheel drive.

Besides being fun to drive and comfortable, the Outlander Sport has a very well-equipped base version. The 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a 7-inch infotainment touch-screen interface, and a four-speaker sound system are its most stylish and valuable standard features. It also comes with potentially vital active safety systems, like the forward collision mitigation system, which warns the driver of an imminent collision and even applies the brakes to reduce its impact. Another active safety system, lane departure warning, alerts the driver if the vehicle drifts out of its lane.

2022 Mitsubishi Mirage and Mirage G4

If you’re looking for a vehicle that’s both affordable and easy to maneuver in city traffic, you should look no further than the 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage. With a fully redesigned front end for its 2022 model, the stylish hatchback is as eye-catching as convenient and affordable. Considering the Mirage’s light frame, its 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine has a power output of up to 76 horsepower, which can deliver a satisfactory amount of acceleration. It’s also paired with a continuously-variable automatic transmission, making this car very smooth and easy to drive, even in heavy traffic.

If you’d like an agile and affordable car to get around in but would enjoy a little more room than the Mirage can offer, the 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is the ideal alternative. The sedan version of the Mirage adds to its utility and may be your perfect blend of maneuverability and interior comfort. Standard features like a 7-inch touch-screen display and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration can keep everyone informed and entertained while in traffic. The G4 uses the same engine and transmission as the hatchback Mirage, with the extra option of a manual transmission.
