2022 Mitsubishi Mirage Interior Features

July 14th, 2022 by

If you’re looking for a compact car that’s fun to drive, the Mitsubishi Mirage is well worth exploring. The 2022 Mirage’s cabin is versatile despite its modest size, and it boasts a great range of modern entertainment tech and features. Our team of auto experts here at Bonita Springs Mitsubishi near Naples has assembled all the information you need to know about the Mirage’s interior, from cargo-carrying capacity to its driver safety features.

Mirage Seating

The 2022 Mirage can seat up to five passengers across its two rows of seating. Up-front, adult passengers enjoy about 39 inches of headroom and over 41 inches of legroom, which is sufficient to take a short drive or longer trip in comfort. The rear row is well-equipped for kids, thanks to the two sets of LATCH connectors available on the outermost seats for installing child seating.

You can purchase the Mirage in two body styles: hatchback and sedan. The Mirage sedan is known as the G4. Most seating dimensions are relatively similar in both body styles, but you’ll find a few inches of additional legroom in the rear row of the hatchback.

Cargo Space

In the Mirage hatchback, you can fill up your trunk with 17.1 cubic feet of cargo. You can configure the cargo area for maximum utility by adding a removable shelf or a cargo tray. If you don’t need to carry passengers in the rear row, you can fold the seats flat to open up an impressive 47 cubic feet of storage space behind the front row. This setup is ideal if you need to transport bulkier items from the hardware store.

If you enjoy an adventurous lifestyle and regularly transport outdoor equipment in your trunk, you may want to consider the all-weather mats offered for the Mirage’s cargo area. You can also get a cargo net to help keep everything securely in place while you’re on the road.

The sedan’s trunk is slightly more compact, with around 12 cubic feet of storage space. The G4 also has rear seats that fold so that you can open up the rear of your car for larger items, much like the hatchback.

Infotainment Technology

The 2022 Mirage really stands out with its entertainment features, especially when you consider this car’s modest purchase price. The Mirage has a standard 7-inch infotainment screen with clear graphics to navigate to your favorite controls. You can listen to your favorite podcasts or music through a four-speaker stereo or upgrade to a premium sound system if you’d like a little more performance.

All Mirage trims come equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which allow you to link your phone directly with your car’s entertainment system. Once it’s linked up, you can use your favorite apps through your infotainment system to play music, navigate to your destination, and stay on top of your messages to friends and work colleagues. There are several other connectivity options on offer, including a USB port and BlueTooth.

Additional features provided by Mitsubishi aim to ensure your comfort and safety while you’re behind the wheel. Voice recognition allows you to perform basic tasks, like adjusting the radio’s volume or the cabin temperature, without taking your eyes off the road ahead. Proximity keyless entry and push-button start will help you get into your cabin with ease and get the engine going in no time at all.

Driver Assistance Features

Mitsubishi provides the Mirage with driver assistance features that can help you avoid accidents and have an easier time traveling on the highway. Standard forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, and automatic emergency braking can alert you to potential problems up ahead and bring your car to a swift stop.

If you do a lot of highway driving, you may want to upgrade to get lane departure warning and high-beam headlights. The optional rain-sensing wipers may also come in handy during winter storms or showers throughout the year.

The Mirage’s compact body is perfectly designed for city driving and fitting into tight parking spots. If you want assistance navigating in and out of parking spaces, you should consider upgrading to the Mirage’s available front and rear parking sensors.

Mirage Trims

The base cabin in the 2022 Mirage will be just fine for many drivers, but you can add a touch more luxury by opting for one of its higher trims. The Mirage is sold in four trims at our Florida dealership: ES, LE, Black Edition, and SE. The trims remain the same whether you opt for the Mirage hatchback or G4 sedan.

The base ES trim features cloth upholstery in the cabin. Front-seat riders benefit from a six-way adjustable driver’s seat and a four-way adjustable passenger’s seat. The LE trim doesn’t include major changes to the cabin since its upgrades are primarily focused on the exterior. For example, you gain alloy wheels.

The Black Edition is a new trim for 2022, and it adds some cool styling elements and upgrades to the interior. You’ll get some unique dark accents, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a leather-wrapped shift nob with contrast stitching.

The SE trim adds some additional comfort to the Mirage’s cabin. You’ll gain synthetic leather upholstery, an armrest for the driver’s seat, and a push-button start.
