Captain & Krewe is the place to go in Naples when you’re looking for delicious shrimp in a casual, laid-back atmosphere. The restaurant sits right off 5th Avenue South and has indoor and outdoor seating. It’s perfect when you’re out shopping in Naples and start craving some perfectly prepared gulf shrimp.

The menu features spicy Cajun shrimp on their small plate menu, and you can get them either hot or cold. Both are peel-and-eat and come seasoned with spicy Cajun seasoning. Also, the Manhattan shrimp chowder is always a great choice, even on a warm Florida day.

Island Gypsy Cafe

If you’re looking for the ultimate hidden gem in Naples, head to Island Gypsy Cafe. It’s on the Isle of Cari and has a nautical vibe. This small plate has coconut fried shrimp served with tropical fruit, mint, and palm sugar sauce.

If you like your shrimp from the raw bar, you can get peel & eat shrimp or jumbo shrimp cocktail. But, if you want to try a little of everything, get the Captain’s seafood tower. It comes with all your favorites from the sea, including oysters, mussels, middleneck clams, tune poke, jumbo shrimp, and Maine lobster.

Mr. Big Fish Seafood & Bar is not only one of Naples’ hidden gems; it’s one of the best seafood restaurants in the area. Tucked away in a strip mall off Route 41, this restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere where you can sit and enjoy good food made with fresh ingredients.

The menu features a wide variety of seafood, including gulf shrimp, prepared in several different ways. The shrimp cargo starter has shrimp baked in white wine and garlic butter, and it’s topped with bread crumbs and served with parmesan toast points. If you prefer cold shrimp, try the shrimp cocktail.

One of the chef’s favorites is the shrimp scampi. This traditional dish has garlic, butter, lemon, and white wine, and it’s served with pasta and gulf shrimp. The shrimp Oscar is also a good choice. It comes with lump crab-crusted jumbo shrimp served with sauteed spinach, rice, and lemon butter.

Mr. Big Fish has a fantastic bar with some delicious house drinks. The ocean mojito has rum, pomegranate juice, fresh blueberries, lime, and mint. The Nemo signature dish is the miso broiled sea bass, which comes with a citrus butter sauce, a choice of steamed rice or potato puree, and carrot and asparagus tempura. If you have your heart set on gulf shrimp, make sure to get the lobster and shrimp pappardelle pasta. This dish has fresh Maine lobster, bacon, gulf shrimp, corn, and a creamy tomato sauce infused with lobster. The Yuzo shrimp is also a great choice but be prepared for some extra spice.
